About Us
The Frankfort Arts Foundation is a nonprofit community arts organization, as described in Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue code. Its mission is to promote cultural enrichment through artistic and educational endeavors. The foundation is a community arts presenting organization. We, in the Frankfort Arts Foundation, have been committed to featuring programs and events of artistic excellence for the Frankfort – Franklin County, Kentucky community, providing educational opportunities and inspiring community service during our history.
Our programs provide opportunities for performing arts presentations, educational programs, cultural awareness presentations, and community service benefits through the performing arts and, frequently, the visual arts. The Frankfort Arts Foundation prizes artistic and creative excellence in its presentations. Performing artists of national, state, and local acclaim have presented concerts as part of the foundation’s series. Musical performances, dramatic presentations, dance, and the literary arts have been presented, and arts showcases are a part of the history. Visual artists have shown their paintings, watercolors, and pencil drawings at various performances and places. The foundation has presented the arts at culinary events, such as “Great Chefs of Frankfort” and “Frankfort’s Finest Flavors,” benefits for the organization in past years.

The arts give the community a rich quality of life that is appreciated by the

The Frankfort Arts Foundation was founded by a Frankfort businessman and his
wife, in the living room of their home, as a means to bring the arts to Frankfort.
The first year brought the Cincinnati Orchestra to the city for a concert with an

Since the beginning, the foundation has provided these services for the community as a whole to those participating in the arts and to those who may not have had the opportunity to learn about and appreciate the arts.
